Defining Rating Setup

  1. From the SmartSolve Portal Page, click the Home tab.
  2. In the Setup and Policy section, click Setup.
  3. In the Supplier section, click Rating Setup.
    Result: The Rating Setup window is displayed.
  4. Enter the information in the following sections:
Section Description

Default Setup for Rating Schedule and Notification

Rating Schedule

  • Rating Interval - Click the up and down arrows to specify, in months, how frequently the score will be calculated.
  • Data Span - Click the up and down buttons to specify the range of months that will be included in the calculation.

Notification to Supplier Manager

  • Rating Score Falls Below - Specify the minimum rating score that must be reached before notification is sent.
  • % Decrease in Rating Score - Click the up and down arrows to specify the percent that the score must decrease before notification is sent.
  • % Increase in Rating Score - Click the up and down arrows to specify the percent that the score must increase before notification is sent.

Rating Setup

This section is used for rating calculation for a receiving location. Click the Add Rating Setup link to add additional rating setups for specific locations.

NOTE: The Apply to All rating setup cannot be deleted. It applies to all receiving locations for global rating setup. When a new rating setup is added, the values default from the Apply to All rating setup, but can be edited.

  • Receiving Location* - Zoom to select the receiving location for which to define a rating setup.
  • Supplier Manager - Zoom to select the name of the supplier manager at the receiving location. When the supplier manager is specified then the specified person will receive notification when the Rating Falls Below, % Decrease in Rating Score, % Increase in Rating Score percentages (as defined in Default Setup for Rating Schedule and Notification) are met.
  • Percentage Weight for Supplier Rating
  • Incoming - Click the up and down arrows to define the percentage of the rating that will be attributed to incoming quality issues, such as Lot Rejected, Pieces Rejected, and Samples Rejected.
  • Floor - Click the up and down arrows to define the percentage of the rating that will be attributed to floor quality issues. A floor issue would be an issue that takes place during manufacturing, such as in the plant.
  • Field - Click the up and down arrows to define the percentage of the rating that will be attributed to field quality issues. A floor issue would be an issue that takes place once the product reaches the customer.
  • Delivery - Click the up and down arrows to define the percentage of the rating that will be attributed to delivery issues. Then specify the weight to be attributed to late deliveries and the amount to be attributed to early deliveries.
  • Quantity - Click the up and down arrows to define the percentage of the rating that will be attributed to quantity issues. Then specify the weight to be attributed to over pieces/lots and the amount to be attributed to short pieces/lots.
  • CAPA - Click the up and down arrows to define the percentage of the rating that will be attributed to CAPA issues. Then specify the weight to be attributed to late responses, the amount to be attributed to responses rejected, and the amount to be attributed to closed capas.
  • Audit - Click the up and down arrows to define the percentage of the rating that will be attributed to audit issues.
  • Total - The total percentage displayed is the sum of the fields above Total.
  • Percentage Weight for Part Rating
  • Incoming - Click the up and down arrows to define the percentage of the rating that will be attributed to incoming quality issues, such as Lot Rejected, Pieces Rejected, and Samples Rejected.
  • Floor - Click the up and down arrows to define the percentage of the rating that will be attributed to floor quality issues.
  • Field - Click the up and down arrows to define the percentage of the rating that will be attributed to field quality issues.
  • Delivery - Click the up and down arrows to define the percentage of the rating that will be attributed to delivery issues. Then specify the weight to be attributed to late deliveries and the amount to be attributed to early deliveries.
  • Quantity - Click the up and down arrows to define the percentage of the rating that will be attributed to quantity issues. Then specify the weight to be attributed to over pieces/lots and the amount to be attributed to short pieces/lots.
  • CAPA - Click the up and down arrows to define the percentage of the rating that will be attributed to CAPA issues. Then specify the weight to be attributed to late responses, the amount to be attributed to responses rejected, and the amount to be attributed to closed capas.
  • Total - The total percentage displayed is the sum of the fields above Total.
  • Quality Setup
  • Incoming - Click the drop down button and select the incoming issue on which to base the incoming percentage from the following options: Lot Rejected, Pieces Rejected, or Samples Rejected. For additional information on configuration, see Incoming Setups.
  • Delivery - Click the drop down button and select the incoming issue on which to base the delivery percentage from the following options: Lots Late or Early or Pieces Late or Early. For additional information on configuration, see Delivery Setups.
  • Quantity - Click the drop down button and select the incoming issue on which to base the quantity percentage from the following options: Lots Over or Short or Pieces Over or Short. For additional information on configuration, see Quantity Setups.
  1. Click the Submit button.
    Result: The new rating setup has been added.
